What's new

Changes in each version of Kite. New features that need both apps work once Kite for Mac and Kite for iPad are on that version (the iPad app can take a few days longer to arrive on the App Store).

Kite 1.2.0

  • Play your Mac's sound on iPad ("Mac Sound" in the three-finger menu). Your Mac's speakers are muted while it plays.
  • Mirror: show your Mac's screen on iPad as-is. It's sized to fit iPad, so text stays sharp (three-finger menu).
  • When the screen isn't changing, the picture now sharpens over a moment.
  • To use sound and mirroring, update both Kite for Mac and Kite for iPad to 1.2.0.

Kite 1.1.0

  • Choose which screen to show. You can now view and control your Mac's other displays (like the main display) from iPad — tap with three fingers to open the menu.
  • When your Mac is locked, Kite shows a password field on iPad so you can unlock it.
  • Fixed: passwords typed from iPad into the lock screen or sudo were rejected.
  • Update both Kite for Mac and Kite for iPad to 1.1.0.

Kite 1.0.0

  • First release.
